Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 quarts filtered water
- 6 tea bags (preferably Luzianne)
- 12 cups seeded watermelon chunks
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to boil until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and steep tea bags for 15 minutes.
- Blend watermelon chunks with lime juice until smooth, then strain if desired.
- Remove tea bags from sweet tea base and combine with watermelon puree in a pitcher. Stir well.
- Serve over ice and garnish with mint leaves if desired.
